My kid quotes commercials. Sometimes word for word in a very freaky, and sometimes all twisted up, little way.I keep notes:
“You know OxiClean can take out the spills, splatters, and stains?”
“You know Geico is like real money?”

This reminded me so much of my own kids. My daughter moved on from repeating the commercial to later “having” all the symptoms stated on drug commercials … “I think I may have restless leg syndrome because … “

It’s very normal for children to copy what they see. In fact, I find it impressive that they remember lines word-for-word.
It also means that we must watch what we say carefully when they’re around.
