I love you. That is all.

  2. This is a perfect example why you should never stop writing. Now go buy some lottery tickets mujer!!!

When I saw you had written a post on the Disney Princesa thing, at first I thought, another one? Isn’t this freaking ordeal over? Can we move on? … And then I read it and smiled and smiled and smiled.

This all needed to be said and your words are pure poetry, mama.

Thanks for the shout out to the non-Latinas who have adopted the language and culture :)

I, (a reina as well) declare this the final word on the issue. LOL.

Tracy, believe me, I almost didn’t hit publish. There has been so much tiki tiki over this, and indeed, it has felt like too much.
But, I hit publish because I did want to scream out to the world that we have plenty of women to be proud of in our real lives…plenty!

And, thank you for the very kind words, mi gringa bien Latina friend.

  4. Marcela says:

I love this. So true. I have a 4 year old “princess” at home who loves Disney but I don’t find myself in a big need of a Disney Latina princes to be a part of her life. I actually like that Sophia is mixed and from nowhere in particular…because it separates entertainment, pretend and fantasy from real life heroines.
