How to pick your future husband when you’re only 5.
So, the other day I was at Maria’s school for a meeting. The mom of the boy whom Maria told me she was going to marry said: ”So, I hear the wedding is off. (Cute boy) told me Maria broke up with him. She is now with (another cute boy).”
“I had no idea,” I told her. “But, she did spend quite some time with (the other cute boy) during Spring Break.”
In the car that afternoon, I told Maria what the original fiancee’s mother had said.
“I don’t really know who I am going to marry,” she said. “I am going to do ‘bubble gum, bubble gum’ to figure out who I am going to marry because eenie meenie miney mo won’t work.”
And in other kid over-shared-ness, my Parenting.com column is about the joy of kinda-co-sleeping. It is here .
Happy Monday.

Oh, to be 5 again…
Tell Maria that’s how I picked my husband…and we’re approaching the 5 year mark.
